The distinctive trait of the original interior area within an ancient building, composed of a long and low space which opens into a high vaulted room in the back, has resulted in a compositive solution according to an urban succession of “street” and “square”, capable of housing the two different exhibiting functions envisaged. New walls-containers along the sides of the first and a ‘monumental’ stairway for an office placed in the second, turn the furnishing elements into architecture, highlighted by the use of materials such as stucco wax, earthenware tile and wood.
