The project envisages the restoration of the building and the rehabilitation of its original function as public offices, with the purpose of transferring part of the offices on Via Bufalini and to establish new and varied activities, so as to expand the premises of the regional headquarters of the Italian Governmental Workers’ Compensation Agency, INAIL. Historical events and an analytic interpretation of the current building determined a series of general criteria for the functional and architectural rehabilitation intervention, which assumes the value as a text, stratified in time, to initiate the necessary methodological process of elucidation and selection of the most suitable and well-founded buildings, including, however, the entire admissible range between conservation and innovation.
