The idea originated from turning a horizontal structure into a vertical element: a tower over the city from which to see far away and back in time. The Vertical Museum is a journey through the history of the city of Florence that develops in sections, following its most significant moments. On its journey back in time, the visitor encounters a series of multimedia and interactive experiences capable of communicating the history of the city and the collective events which have formed its identity through time: its foundation, the moments of crisis and transformation, the social works and artistic monuments, are all re-lived through audio and immersive spaces. The variety of activities available transform every pause in the climb into the possibility of a new and exciting experience.
